Helvetas implements a wide portfolio of projects and initiatives in eight countries throughout the region, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine. We promote green and socially inclusive transition processes by focusing our systemic actions and partnerships on creating new economic perspectives and promoting good governance and civic engagement. With almost 200 staff working in our eight offices in the region, we are undertaking steps to strengthen the organizational support and quality assurance environment, including the improvement of organizational structures, systems and processes.
The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) is responsible for the effective and efficient development and execution of administrative processes within the regional team, and processes linking the regional team, countries/projects and the head office, as well as the organization of events and coordination of logistical needs. The ROM assures compliance of processes with organizational and legal requirements, promotes efficiency through simplification, standardization, and digitization of administrative processes. Countries and projects are advised and supported in adapting their processes in a coherent manner.
The ROM is part of a regional management team, reporting to the Regional Director for Eastern Europe. While the team members are based in different country offices, it operates a regional hub in Belgrade/Serbia. Hybrid collaboration and regular travels define the nature of our work and offer a very dynamic and professionally challenging team environment in which each member is expected to display a high degree of leadership and independence.
MAIN TASKS
Management of administrative processes (approx. 60%):
You are responsible for the development and implementation of efficient administrative processes (planned and on demand) within the regional team, ensuring proper coordination, compliance with organizational and legal requirements, and support to country/project teams.
You will also coordinate regional safety and security measures in accordance with organizational requirements, including travel arrangements, and the coordination of safety and security plans with countries.
