Job description

Determination of manufacturing concepts / methods for metal forming processes
Creating surfaces in form design
Planning and execution of Finite Element Simulation (FE – Simulation) for metal forming
Documentation of the results
Examination of feasibility and effective production using Finite Element Simulation
Coordination internally and externally with customer requirements as to which criteria of the simulation the suitability of further developments
Interface to suppliers / partners and close results must be used for a feasibility assessment
Define and acquire the required material parameters
Proposals for design adjustments to achieve a stable process
Aligning and feedback of simulation results with real production
Keeping the system up to date and checking cooperation with the internal Group departments

Position Requirements

Completed formal education in engineering, materials science, metals engineering or comparable, ideally with a focus on process simulation
Practical experience in carrying out Finite Element Simulation and empirical studies
Good knowledge in the use of simulation software (AutoForm, NX)
Good verbal and written English language skills
Knowledge of German language would be a plus
Independent, proactive and team-oriented way of working
Driving license B and medium readiness to travel

Your main tasks:

Consulting internal customers on the design, documentation and revision of efficient business processes

Improvement of the business process model and methods, and development of standards (organizational- /procedural- /work instructions)

Administration, standardization and maintenance of the business process map in the PWO Group

Management of and participation in various projects (e.g., development of new business processes in cooperation with departments within the PWO group)

Project controlling as well as managing implementation projects with the help of agile methods

Developing Concepts for Solutions as part of a team and coordinating with specialist departments, taking into account economic and technical aspects

Consulting, supporting and training departments on business process and IT application topics

Coordination and administration of an IT system in the role of system manager

Establishing and performing regular communication between the system managers

Continuous improvement and optimization of system-supported processes

Designing, moderating, documenting and following up workshops in coordination with other departments

Collaboration on IT governance topics (ITIL / ITSM / ISMS)

Your profile:

A degree in the field of business informatics, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable course of studies

First work experience preferable

Very good understanding of business processes

The ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new processes and topics

Analytical thinking skills as well as a strong solution orientation 

Confident and cooperative appearance as well as assertiveness

The ability to communicate profitably at different levels

Ability to work in a team and customer oriented

Good knowledge of MS Office programs

– Implement CI/CD DevOps practices to automate the software delivery process and ensure continuous integration and deployment. This includes setting up and maintaining pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications.

– Utilize Azure DevOps to manage source code, track work items, and streamline collaboration among team members. Ensure that version control and issue tracking are effectively utilized throughout the development lifecycle.

– Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Maintain and scale containerized applications as needed.

– Set up and configure Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and visualization of application performance and metrics. Implement alerts and dashboards to proactively identify and address issues.

– Collaborate with the development team to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Ensure that code changes are seamlessly integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.

– Participate in debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix software defects. Work closely with developers to resolve issues and enhance application stability.

– Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps practices, containerization, monitoring, and automation, all while contributing to the vision of building a cloud-native software stack.

– Develop interfaces between new and legacy software systems, ensuring smooth communication and data exchange. Leverage your expertise to bridge the gap between different technologies.
