DWH Engineer
PWO Group is seeking a talented and experienced DWH Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Job description:
– As a BI Engineer, you will strengthen one of their development teams in the further development and support of their company-wide data warehouse (Microsoft SQL/T-SQL)
– Independent design and implementation of data-based solutions based on the business requirements and challenges of the company
– Automating data processes in ETL pipelines to improve the efficiency and reliability of data pipelines (Python)
– Actively shaping the technological future of their data warehouse
– Documenting your work results in an appropriate form
– Providing support for ad-hoc analyses when needed.
Job requirements:
– Completed degree in IT or Business Informatics or a comparable qualification.• Strong SQL skills
– Solid experience in software engineering, ideally with practical experience in programming language Python and common frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, or Airflow
– Profound knowledge of software engineering best practices and experience with common version control tools (Git) and project management (Azure DevOps)
– Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the field of databases, knowledge of data warehousing standards and data modeling is advantageous
– Ideally, experience in system operation according to DevOps principles, e.g., using container technologies like Docker
– Initial practical experience in developing data pipelines using ETL/ELT schema is desirable
– Practical experience working with agile methods
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Solution-oriented mindset and a high level of resilience
– Self-responsible working style combined with loyalty and openness
– Excellent English language skills.
