Finance Manager

For our client, a prestigious hotel, renowned for its excellence in hospitality on the Montenegrin coast,  Manpower Serbia is searching for a motivated candidate to take the challenge and successfully fulfill the position of Finance Manager.
As Finance Manager you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) within their organization. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting, control systems, and processes by industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain the USALI across all financial functions within the hotel.
Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with USALI and local financial regulations.
Evaluation of all financial in-house practices and policies with subsequent enhancements.
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management.
 Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts by USALI standards.
Coordinate and collaborate with department heads to analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize financial results.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data by implementing appropriate internal controls and conducting regular audits.
Monitor and analyze key financial indicators, such as revenue, expenses, occupancy rates, and average daily rate, to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to the executive team.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and insights.
Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and facilitate efficient financial operations.
Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and regulatory requirements affecting the lodging industry

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates with certifications or qualifications relevant to the field of accounting and finance will be considered favorably.
Proven work experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the USALI and its practical application.
Strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and local financial regulations.
Experience in implementing and managing internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance.
